I wrote a note to the city of Columbus to enclose with the $5 ticket. I felt that 30 people in their town for two nights, staying in their motels, eating their food and generally contributing to the local economy should make them think twice about a ticket for such a short overtime in the parking space. They also have a rule that no bicycles can be on the sidewalks in the downtown area. We never ride on the sidewalks but we have to park on the sidewalk! I guess that no one has told them that they are on the Adventure Cycling Underground Railroad Route yet! We aim to let them know. If the other wet day was tough, this day was perfect, cool, sunny, and wonderful.
